Trauma-Informed Workforce Support & Clinical Supervision
Support for human service teams carrying complex work.
Traditional Employee Assistance Programs are not always enough to hold the weight carried by people working in disability, homelessness, family services, mental health, community care and other trauma-exposed settings.
When staff are exposed to high-intensity relational work every day, wellbeing cannot be treated as an individual resilience problem.
You cannot out-care a structural deficit.
At The Rewilding Collective, we provide trauma-informed workforce support, clinical supervision, reflective practice, training and leadership coaching for organisations serving vulnerable communities.
Our work can sit alongside your existing EAP or internal wellbeing systems, offering deeper structural support for teams navigating moral injury, vicarious trauma, burnout, role strain and psychosocial risk.
Who this is for
This service may be a good fit for organisations where staff are regularly exposed to:
trauma, grief, crisis or high emotional load
complex client presentations
aggression, distress or relational intensity
moral distress or ethical complexity
role strain, burnout or compassion fatigue
high job demands and limited resources
psychosocial risk in frontline or leadership roles
workforce instability, conflict or change fatigue
This work is particularly suited to human services, disability, NDIS, homelessness, family services, community, health, mental health and care-based organisations.
Why this work matters
Burnout in human services is rarely just an individual issue.
In care-based and trauma-exposed settings, workers are often asked to carry distress, complexity, risk and unmet need without enough structural support around them.
When this continues over time, the impact may show up as burnout, moral distress, conflict, withdrawal, turnover, reduced confidence, emotional exhaustion or loss of meaning.
TRC helps organisations build stronger reflective, relational and clinical structures around the people doing the work.
The goal is not to make staff more resilient so they can tolerate unsustainable conditions.
The goal is to strengthen the conditions around the work so people can practise, lead and recover with more coherence, support and clarity.
What we offer
Clinical Supervision for Practitioners
TRC provides external clinical supervision for practitioners, team leaders and frontline workers operating in complex care environments.
Supervision offers a confidential, structured space to strengthen ethical decision-making, case formulation, scope clarity, reflective practice and sustainable professional functioning.
This may support:
clinical governance
ethical reflection
case formulation
risk and complexity
vicarious trauma processing
professional boundaries
practitioner sustainability
safer decision-making under pressure
Supervision may be delivered individually or in small groups, depending on organisational need and practitioner role.
Reflective Practice for Trauma-Exposed Teams
Reflective Practice provides a facilitated space for teams to process complex work, reduce cumulative load and build shared language for safe practice.
This is not a general wellbeing session.
It is a structured container for teams exposed to trauma, moral distress, client complexity, systemic pressure and high emotional demand.
Reflective Practice can help teams:
process complex client work safely
identify patterns of moral distress or burnout
strengthen team coherence and communication
reduce fragmentation under pressure
support regulation and professional boundaries
improve shared understanding of risk and role clarity
Sessions can be delivered on-site, off-site or online, depending on the organisation’s needs.
Trauma-Informed Workplace Training
TRC provides training for teams and leaders working in complex human service environments.
Training can be tailored to the organisation’s context, workforce and risk profile.
Example topics include:
Preventing Moral Injury in Human Service Workers
Reflective Practice for NDIS Support Teams
Managing Burnout in Trauma-Exposed Workforces
Trauma-Informed Leadership
Vicarious Trauma and Sustainable Practice
Psychosocial Risk and Workforce Wellbeing
Supporting Neurodivergent Workers and Teams
Our training is practical, reflective and grounded in the realities of frontline and leadership work.
Leadership Coaching for Human Service Executives
Leaders in human services carry significant relational, operational and ethical weight.
TRC offers coaching for executives, founders, senior leaders and team leads who are holding complex systems, people risk, change fatigue, workforce pressure or trauma-exposed teams.
Leadership coaching may support:
decision-making under pressure
role clarity and boundaries
sustainable leadership capacity
communication and conflict navigation
moral injury and burnout prevention
strategic coherence
leadership through change or complexity
This work is tailored to the person, role and organisational context.
Our approach
TRC works through a trauma-informed, systems-aware and clinically grounded lens.
We pay attention to the person, the team, the organisation and the wider context they are operating within.
Our work supports:
psychological safety
reflective practice
ethical decision-making
role clarity
professional boundaries
sustainable capacity
communication under pressure
leadership coherence
workforce recovery and retention
Where appropriate, our work may be informed by the Integrated Triadic Convergence, or ITC, model.
This helps teams and leaders understand what is happening within individuals, between people and across the wider system.
-
TRC does not need to replace your existing EAP.
Our services can sit alongside EAP as a deeper layer of trauma-informed workforce support.
While many EAPs focus on short-term individual support, TRC also works with the team and organisational conditions surrounding the work, including reflective practice, supervision, moral injury, role clarity, communication and sustainable capacity.
-
These services are designed for organisations where staff are exposed to complex human work.
This may include disability, NDIS, homelessness, family services, community services, health, mental health, education, frontline support and leadership teams.
They are not designed as a general wellness perk.
They are designed for workplaces where people are carrying trauma exposure, emotional load, ethical complexity, client risk or high relational demand.
-
TRC may support organisations to better understand and respond to work-related pressures such as:
high emotional demand
exposure to trauma or distress
aggression, conflict or relational intensity
role confusion
ethical strain or moral distress
poor boundaries around responsibility
burnout, fatigue or compassion fatigue
team fragmentation under pressure
Our work does not replace an organisation’s legal, HR or WHS responsibilities. It can support safer workforce structures, reflective practice and trauma-informed leadership.
-
Reflective Practice is a structured, facilitated space where workers can think carefully about complex practice.
It helps teams process the emotional and ethical load of the work, build shared language, strengthen boundaries and reduce the risk of carrying complexity in isolation.
It is not a debriefing free-for-all.
It is a contained, psychologically safer process designed to support clarity, regulation and sustainable practice.
-
Clinical supervision is confidential within clear professional, ethical and safety limits.
TRC will clarify privacy, reporting and governance boundaries before supervision begins.
For organisational supervision arrangements, it is important that workers understand what remains confidential, what may be reported in aggregate, and what must be escalated due to risk, safety, legal or professional obligations.
