The Invitation

We spend an extraordinary amount of our lives trying to get other people to change.

To love differently. Communicate differently. Show up differently. Heal differently.

But intimate relationship has a rather inconvenient habit of revealing something else entirely: us.

Archetypes: A Roadmap to Sacred Union explores the ancient patterns beneath our relationships — the parts of us that love, protect, pursue, withdraw, nurture, control, create, desire and lead.

Not so you can become better at diagnosing everyone around you.

So you can finally recognise the village living inside you.

Meet the village within

Eight ancient patterns. Eight ways of meeting life.
All of them already living within you
.

THE FEMININE ARC

Child → Maiden → Mother → Crone

Innocence → Awakening → Generativity → Wisdom

THE MASCULINE ARC

Magician → Lover → Warrior → King

Perception → Devotion → Disciplined Action → Sovereignty

Before I had names for any of this

I didn't begin with archetypes.

I began, as we all do, by living them.

Child. Daughter. Seeker. Mother. Lover. Warrior.

The one who knew. The one who absolutely did not.

The one who disappeared into other people. The one who came back.

Long before I had language for these patterns, they were already moving through my relationships, my body, my work and the strange collection of experiences that would eventually become a life.

Some I inhabited easily. Others took me years to recognise.

And some I performed beautifully while their shadow ran the show backstage.

That's the territory of this book.

Not becoming an archetype.

Learning to recognise what's already moving through you — and becoming more choiceful about how you meet it.

When relationships become mirrors

The person across from you is rarely just the person across from you.

Our closest relationships have an extraordinary capacity to illuminate the parts of ourselves we haven't quite met yet.

The needs we struggle to name. The power we hand away. The tenderness we protect. The old strategies that once kept us safe.

And suddenly the argument about the dishwasher isn't entirely about the fucking dishwasher.

But this isn't about making another person's behaviour your responsibility.

It's about recognising what becomes activated within you, understanding why, and learning what to do with what you discover.

What you’ll discover

Inside Archetypes, you'll explore:

  • The eight archetypal patterns and how they shape your inner world.

  • The gifts, wounds and shadows associated with each archetype.

  • How these patterns emerge in intimacy, conflict and everyday relationships.

  • The difference between protective strategies and conscious choice.

  • Reflection questions and practices to help you recognise these patterns within yourself.

  • How inner integration creates the foundations for a more conscious relationship with another.

This isn't another collection of labels for yourself and everyone you know.

Please, for the love of all things holy, don't finish Chapter Three and start diagnosing people at dinner.

The invitation is far more interesting than that.

Ready to meet the village within?

You don't need another system for deciding what's wrong with you.

You need better ways of recognising what's already there.

Archetypes is an invitation to meet the ancient patterns moving through your relationships, your choices, your body and your life.

Not to become someone else.

But to become more fully yourself.

You already contain the village. Come meet them.
